Dr. Matthew Weinberg, PhD holds degrees in biochemistry, Egyptian archaeology, education, and medicine. He has spent his career designing learning environments, writing books, and studying how knowledge moves between people. He built Grammar & Stone because he ran out of patience with an industry that consistently puts its own interests ahead of the people who actually create the work.

The Scholar

Matthew Weinberg's academic formation is genuinely unusual.

He began with two undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Egyptian Archaeology. Then a Master of Education in Multicultural Education. Then a doctorate in Education, with doctoral research focused on the application of game theory to educational program design. Then an Osteopathic Medical Degree and a partial residency in Radiation Oncology before redirecting his focus toward research, writing, and education.

Each discipline left something in him.

Biochemistry gave him precision. A respect for evidence that does not bend to what you want to be true. A habit of checking and rechecking before drawing conclusions.

Archaeology gave him patience. The ability to reconstruct meaning from incomplete information. A deep appreciation for the fact that most of what matters does not survive intact and must be carefully inferred.

Medicine gave him accountability. In clinical work, your decisions have consequences for real people. That sense of responsibility, that awareness that what you do actually matters to someone specific, carries directly into how Grammar & Stone approaches every manuscript.

Education gave him the framework. Dr. Matthew Weinberg has published eight books.
